2025 Indonesia Council (IC) Postgraduate Bursary Prize Criteria
The Indonesia Council (IC) is offering two competitive bursaries valued at $250 each to support postgraduate (PG) student members to attend the Indonesia Council Open Conference (ICOC) 2025. These bursaries are designed to recognise excellence in academic presentation and assist with conference attendance costs. The bursary is intended as a partial contribution towards the cost of attending the conference. It is not intended to cover the entire cost of attendance. No additional financial support is available beyond the bursary.

In-Person Attendance and Presentation: The bursary is intended for in-person attendance at the ICOC 2025. Virtual or remote presentations do not qualify.

About the Indonesia Council Open Conference
The Indonesia Council holds the Indonesia Council Open Conference (ICOC), a biennial multidisciplinary conference for scholars at all levels to present new and innovative work on Indonesia. ICOC has a particular emphasis on encouraging engagement between newer Indonesianists and established scholars and it attracts participants, from all over Australia, Indonesia and many parts of the world.
In keeping with the spirit of collegiality and community, ICOC charges no registration fee. Preceding the conference proper, ICOC hosts hold a workshop for Honours/Graduate and Postgraduate students to encourage publications and strategies for career planning.
