In conversation with BRIN: Indonesia's new research and ethics requirements

Indonesia Council together with the Monash Herb Feith Indonesian Engagement Centre, Monash University Library jointly present this information session that features two senior representatives from BRIN who will share the latest updates on conducting research in Indonesia. Topics will include visas, ethics, local partnerships, and data management requirements. A key feature of the session will be the ability of attendees to submit queries in advance, providing a valuable opportunity for BRIN representatives to consider and respond in detail to your concerns and questions.

Dr Najib Burhani
Research Professor, BRIN 
Dr Ahmad Najib Burhani is research professor and Chairman of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities (ISSH) at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Previously, he was the director of the Research Centre for Society and Culture (PMB) at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Jakarta. He received his PhD in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, USA in 2013.

Dr Trina Fizzanty
Program Coordinator for Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, BRIN
Prior to her appointment as Program Coordinator for ISSH at BRIN, Dr Fizzanty worked as Director of the Science and Technology Research Development Centre at LIPI, where she provided policy recommendations based on research activities and science, technology and innovation indicators. Dr Fizzanty has a PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia, in the field of Integrative Systems (Supply Chain Management).
